Shrimp Creole Recipe

Make this delicious shrimp creole in no time flat!

I love these type of dishes where you can have all your ingredients prepared ahead of time and then, voila, you create a meal that tastes like you have been in the kitchen forever.

This dish is great when you have a lot of company.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups parsley, finely chopped
  • 6 cups tomatoes, chopped and drained
  • 1 – 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup Chablis wine
  • 3 pounds uncooked shrimp,peeled and deveined
  • Directions

    Saute onion, bell pepper, green onions, and parsley in olive oil until translucent.

    Add tomatoes and tomato sauce, garlic, worcestershire sauce.

    Add salt and pepper. Add wine and stir.

    Let cook 5 minutes

    Lower fire to simmer, add shrimp.

    Cover and let cook for 15-20 minutes.

    Serve over rice.
