Spinach Artichoke Dip

A Party Favorite

This spinach artichoke dip recipe is must have at parties. Since New Orleanians love parties, Granny fixes this appetizer quite frequently. Guests always come back for more!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 1 box chopped spinach
  • 1 small jar marinated artichoke hearts
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small container whipping cream
  • Parmesan cheese to taste
  • Directions
    Melt butter in sauce pan. Add onions and garlic. Saute until onions are translucent.

    Microwave spinach. Squeeze out all of the liquid.

    Add steamed spinach and chopped artichoke hearts to onion mixture. Stir and remove from fire.

    Mix sour cream and cream cheese in bowl. Add whipping cream

    Add spinach and artichoke mixture. Add parmesan cheese to taste

    Pour into an ungreased casserole dish. Cover with mozzarella cheese.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.

    Serve with tortilla chips.
