Spinach Artichoke Dip
A Party Favorite
This spinach artichoke dip recipe is must have at parties. Since New Orleanians love parties, Granny fixes this appetizer quite frequently. Guests always come back for more!
Ingredients ½ cup butter4 ounces Philadelphia cream cheese, room temperature4 ounces sour cream1 box chopped spinach1 small jar marinated artichoke hearts3 tablespoons minced garlic3 tablespoons finely chopped onion4 ounces mozzarella cheese1 small container whipping creamParmesan cheese to taste
Directions Melt butter in sauce pan. Add onions and garlic. Saute until onions are translucent. Microwave spinach. Squeeze out all of the liquid. Add steamed spinach and chopped artichoke hearts to onion mixture. Stir and remove from fire. Mix sour cream and cream cheese in bowl. Add whipping cream Add spinach and artichoke mixture. Add parmesan cheese to taste Pour into an ungreased casserole dish. Cover with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.
